On October 8, CCHS dropped a volleyball match to Broadus in four sets, 18-25, 25-22, 17-25, 17-25. Both teams had an equal number of assists with 25. The Dogs had 7 aces compared to 15 for the Hawks, and 25 kills while the Hawks had 30.
Heidi LaBree led the team with 24 of 25 assists. Kari Kittelmann had 19 of 61 digs and 3 of 7 aces. Codi Melton had 2 of Blue’s 3 blocks and Tylee Loehding had 7 of 25 kills.
Saturday in Jordan, the girls took a match to five sets before falling to the Mustangs (21-25, 26-24, 25-21, 12-25, 10-15). LaBree led in aces (6 of 13) and assists (16 of 17), Kittelmann led in digs (24 of 81) and Kenzie Tooke led in kills (9 of 25) and blocks (3 of 5).
This Friday, the girls play in Circle. Next weekend they are scheduled to wrap up their regular season with matches at home versus Terry and then at Broadus.
