COVID-19 scholarship opportunity for families with specialized in-home needs

HRDC 7 announces immediate availability of COVID-19 Special Circumstance Scholarships. These grants are open to families in the 14 county service area, including Big Horn, Carbon, Carter, Custer, Fallon, Golden Valley, Musselshell, Powder River, Rosebud, Stillwater, Sweet Grass, Treasure, Wheatland, and Yellowstone counties.

The grants provide scholarships for families requiring in-home child care with unique or special circumstances that prevent their child(ren) from returning to school and/or child care.

“This grant program affords families an opportunity for child care unlike anything we have seen before,” said Jessica Stover, Outreach and Communication Specialist at HRDC 7.

To qualify for this grant, applicants must show specialized needs, including, but not limited to: compromised health of children or family members, children with developmental and/or physical disabilities, foster families needing respite, or remote learning support. Qualifying families may apply Now through December 31st, 2020, or until funds are expended. The application and program details may be found at the following link: https://hrdc7.org/how-we-help/child-care/#Families-Requiring-In-Home-Care.
