Shortly after last week’s paper was printed, several changes were made to the Carter County Bulldogs’ fall sports schedule. The football schedule was revamped after St. Labre, Lodge Grass and Lame Deer opted out and will not play football this season due to COVID-19 concerns. With three teams out, the entire Eastern C Division has seen several changes in scheduling.
The Bulldogs will now travel to Fairview this Friday for a conference game against the defending state champion Warriors. Additionally, two JV games have been added so far this season since the Dogs have nineteen players on their roster and varsity contests against Circle and Westby-Grenora were added to the back of the schedule.
To date, the volleyball schedule has seen fewer changes, but with all regular season tournaments out this year due to COVID-19 concerns, a contest with Plevna has been added and dates for a few other matches have changed.
Sports fans are encouraged to check the schools website, ekalaka.net, for changes to the schedule. Also, the most up-to-date schedule at the time of printing will be used in the Eagle as more changes could potentially be coming.
