2020 pet parade a hit

A beautiful day greeted the pet paraders as they showed off for a nice crowd in the bleacher area of the fairgrounds on Friday, August 7.

Winners in the three categories were as follows:

SONGBOOK CHARACTERS:

1) Kimber Ross with "Stormy" (her pony) with a theme of "USA Party." It took her two weeks of preparation with her mom's help.

2) Tye Kalstrom and a "Baa Baa Black Sheep" theme with "Hiyah." It took him a week to prepare with mom's help.

3) Karlee Jo Castleberry with her dog, "Baby Shark." She did two weeks prep with mom and dad assisting.

4) Rose Rost with "Candy" and the theme of "Baa Baa Black Sheep." The project took one month with mom's assistance.

5) Clover Beach with "Biggie" and the theme of "Mary Had a Little Lamb." Prep time was "today."

STORYBOOK CHARACTERS:

1) Riggin Lynch with "Alfred" the longhorn steer representing "Paul Bunyan with Babe, the Big Blue Ox." "Spraying him blue took awhile but he was well behaved and stood like a pro," Riggin said.

2) Jillian McGraw with "Rio" (her dog) and "Laura in Little House on the Prairie." The project was off and on for a couple of days with grandma helping.

LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL:

1) Clancy Higgins with "Teddy" and "Sissy," miniature Highlander Sheep.

2) Selah (no last name on entry). The project was completed the day of the parade.
