Uncommon quotes
Hello God, it’s me, Mara:
You know, Lord, sometimes while looking for one thing, one finds something else, like a snippet from a longer article, called “A Quote for Today” – how about that? Then up popped the first quote: “What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, God calls a butterfly!” How about the second one – that’s pretty ‘right on’! “So, just do the very best you can, and leave the rest to God. After all, that IS what He is there for!”
The article continued (author unknown), ‘Here are some quotes about taking life one day at a time; this first one from Abraham Lincoln quotes: “The best thing about the future is that it comes only one day at a time. One day at a time – this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is done; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.
A quote from Steve Maraboli: “Although time seems to fly, it never travels faster than one day at a time. Each day is a new opportunity to live your life to the fullest. In each waking day, you will find scores of blessings and opportunities for positive change. Do not let your TODAY be stolen by the unchangeable past or the indefinite future. Today is a new day!”
Have you ever bought a car, then suddenly noticed every car is like yours on the road? In a similar way, when we cultivate faithfulness in our lives, we are more prone to see God’s faithfulness around us. Reading Psalm 18: 25-26, “To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless, to the pure you show yourself pure, but to the devious you show yourself shrewd.”
Love, Mara
