Zachary Swanson

A graveside service for Zachary Swanson, 30, of Great Falls, formerly of Ekalaka, was held July 10 at Beaverlodge Cemetery in Ekalaka.

Our beloved Zachary Kyle Swanson passed away June 22, 2020 in Great Falls, Montana. Zachary Kyle Swanson was born March 12, 1990 and spent his childhood in Montana attending grade school in Ekalaka. He moved around to Colorado, Wyoming and California and then graduated from Los Prietos in California as co-valedictorian of his class. While attending school at Los Prietos, Zachary was a member of Drama Kings that performed around the community.

Zachary had many talents and interests that he loved sharing with others through work and his personal life. He had a need to be creative, making raps and performing as a freestyle rapper, also finding joy in creating art. Computers, especially computer coding was a great interest of his along with concrete work. He and his grandpa spent quality time on numerous hunting and camping outings and he enjoyed snowmobiling.

Zachary loved his family and it was important to him to remain close to everyone. He was known for his big heart and always there to lend a helping hand. He leaves a great absence in all of our lives.

Zachary is survived by his mother, Kimberly Duncan; father, James Swanson; siblings, Levi Swanson, Kelly Swanson, and Ariana Cline; grandparents, Sandra (John) Hoffman and Leonard (Judy) Cline; uncles, Kelly Cline, Kody Cline, and Reginald White; and nieces and nephews, Zane, Olivia, and Ashlyn Swanson.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Kristi Molina.
