Visit Southeast Montana welcomed three new members to the Board of Directors during its April 29 board meeting. Eva Grimes of Carter County, Jamie Redger of Big Horn County and Kathy McLane of Dawson County were voted in unanimously.
Grimes was born and raised in Carter County. After spending time out of state, she returned to Ekalaka and began working for local businesses. In 2016, she and her mother opened Stompin' Grounds Coffee House which she continues to help run today. Grimes also serves as President of the Carter County Chamber of Commerce.
Redger has lived in Big Horn County for the past 20 years, working as a partner in a local construction company.
McLane is a Glendive native and newly retired. She has worked in several industries including politics and tourism in the past. She's also served on the Montana Chamber of Commerce, Dawson County and Miles City Economic Development Boards and written more than $5 million in grants.
All three will begin serving on the board immediately. Visit Southeast Montana board member terms run three years and each individual can serve two terms.
Visit Southeast Montana, one of the state's tourism regions, strives to increase visitation by increasing awareness of the region, showcasing cultural heritage, developing memorable experiences and educating residents about the economic benefits of tourism.
