Graduating seniors received scholarships and honors

The CCHS Class of 2020 has been awarded $130,000 in scholarships to date. Following is a list of the entire classes awards and scholarships.

Grace Tooke received the Basin Electric Scholarship, Youth Serve Montana Scholarship, MUS STEM Scholarship, FFA State Officer Scholarship, Sagebrush Service Club Scholarship, Duane Woolworth Memorial Scholarship, Tedd G. and Eulalie Parker Scholarship, Premier Scholarship from MSU and the George S. Severson Agricultural Scholarship from MSU which will be awarded to her all four years of her college career.

Mick O’Connor received the Trustee Academic Scholarship from Rocky Mountain College which will be awarded to him for four years, the RMC Men’s Basketball Scholarship from Rocky Mountain College for all four years, The Bear Grant from Rocky Mountain College for all four years, the Leaders, Legends, and Legacies Football Camp MVP Scholarship and the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church Scholarship. O’Connor also received the Heroic 7 Award.

Jaelee Strangford received the Turbiville/Rowley Memorial Scholarship, Southeast Electric Higher Education Scholarship and the Pioneer Rodeo Scholarship from Miles Community College.

Wyatt Kittelmann received the MECA Memorial Scholarship, Carl and Gloria Quam Scholarship, Baker American Legion Scholarship, Duane Woolworth Memorial Scholarship, Premiere Scholarship from MSU, a College of Engineering General Scholarship from MSU and the MUS STEM Scholarship for all four years of college.

Grafton Bonsell has chosen to honorably serve his country and has been sworn into the Army National Guard. Bonsell will attend basic training in October. He plans to eventually pursue a career in welding.

Hannah LaBree received the Baker Chamber of Commerce and Ag Scholarship, Frye Memorial Scholarship, Patrick W. Cleveland Scholarship, Jim and Fran Nies Scholarship, Carter County Vet Science Scholarship, Farmers Union Oil Scholarship, Carter County Sheep and Cattlegrowers Scholarship, Carter County FFA Alumni Scholarship, Ekalaka Bump-n-Run Association Scholarship, Carter County 4-H Council Scholarship, Mid-Rivers Higher Education Scholarship, Southeast Electric Cooperative Essay Scholarship, Montana STEM Scholarship for all four years of college and the Premier Scholarship from MSU.

Whitney Kittelmann received the Joe Dingfelder Memorial Scholarship, Ralph Ehret Memorial Scholarship, G.M. Emerson Memorial Scholarship, A&A Stieg Wholesale Inc. Scholarship and the Charles Leslie and Nora E. Bovee Scholarship from Northwest College.

Rose Rychner received the Cap Keith Memorial Scholarship, Frank H. and Clara Nies Scholarship and the Rev. I.N. Stanley College Entrance Scholarship.

Heather LaBree received a National Honor Society Semi-Finalist Scholarship, the Baker American Legion Scholarship, Jim and Fran Nies Scholarship, Frye Memorial Scholarship, Southeast Electric Essay Scholarship, Baker Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture Scholarship, Carter County Sheep and Cattlegrowers Scholarship, Carter County FFA Alumni Scholarship, Carter County 4-H Council Scholarship, Fruit Service & Repair Inc. Scholarship, Mack and Nina Niccum Memorial Scholarship and The MUS STEM Scholarship for all four years of college.
