With all of the concern over the Covid-19 virus and since I like math numbers, I thought this could be an appropriate time to do some math. I went to school in the B.C. era (before computers and calculators), so my skills might be rusty. I have based my calculations on last weeks’ numbers in the Eagle so they might not be current. Based on Montana’s population being 1,000,000; and the Covid-19 numbers published in the Eagle as to the sickness, hospitalization, and death counts, I have the following percentages: Number of people confirmed Covid-19 positive: 400 = .04% of population. (or four one-hundredths of one percent) Number hospitalized: 50 = .005% of population. Number of deaths: 7 = .0007% of population.

Maybe these numbers scare you or maybe they make you complacent, I don’t know, but let’s look at another percentage. People born in or before 1900AD have had a death rate from all causes at 100% not just .0007%. This should cause us to consider what is after death since at some point all of us will experience this. Weather by the virus, heart problems, old age or other problems. The Bible says that, ‘It is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgement.” Hebrews 9:27. The Bible also says that, “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. There are many more verses about this everlasting life and how to obtain it. So, if you are concerned about the 100% death rate and what to do to prepare for it, contact one of our local pastors, a local Bible believing pastor near you, or myself at 406-775-8848. We would be happy to share with you more of God’s Word about receiving this eternal life.
