Local NHS chapter to host fundraiser, March 24

The Carter County High School National Honor Society chapter is hosting a cornhole tournament on Tuesday, March 24 at the school.

Check-in time for the fundraiser is 5:15 p.m. The tournament will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Sign-up sheets will be posted around town at Stompin’ Grounds, Dawg House Pub, Fruit Service, Branson Grocery, Community 1st Credit Union, Summit National Bank, the post office and the high school. Buy in is $20 per team, payable at check-in.

Four games will be played at a time during the tournament and brackets will be made according to how many teams sign up. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top finishers.

A freewill donation taco dinner with traditional tortillas made from scratch will be available and a bake sale will take place throughout the evening. Additionally, those who attend will have the opportunity to play cribbage and pinochle, and board games will be available for kids to play

The following local members of this nationally recognized organization based upon the pillars of scholarship, service, leadership and character invite all community members to attend: Hannah LaBree, Heather LaBree, Whitney Kittelmann, Wyatt Kittelmann, Kari Kittlemann, Tylee Loehding, Rose Rychner, Seth Kennedy, Jared Pardee, Mick O'Connor, Gracie Tooke.
