The Lady Bulldogs held the Broadus Hawks scoreless at home in the second half to come away with a 66-14 win at home last Thursday. Blue shot 36 percent on two-point field goals and 57 percent on free throws, but managed to go only 2-14 from behind the arc. They out-rebounded Broadus, 35-18, and had 18 steals. Broadus turned the ball over 33 times compared to only 11 for the Dogs. Ten Bulldogs scored in the contest, led by Heidi LaBree with 13. Heather LaBree led in rebounds with 9.

In JV girls action, CCHS JV held off Broadus JV for a two-point victory. The girls were down by two at the end of the first quarter, but took a two-point lead at halftime and finished each of the final two frames with that same lead. The girls shot 39 percent on free throws. They committed 26 turnovers, compared to 31 for the Hawks. Kenzie Tooke led the scoring for CCHS with 13.

The varsity Dogs continued their hot streak in Terry on Saturday by beating the Terriers, 62-7. Eight Bulldogs scored. Blue shot an impressive 27-58 on two-pointers but went 0-10 from deep. They corralled 21 offensive rebounds while Terry had 2. Blue committed 18 turnovers compared to 42 for the Terriers. Katie Tooke led Blue in rebounds with 7 while Tyra O'Connor and Heather LaBree led in points with 12 each.
