Cap Keith Memorial hunt will take place next weekend

The Seventh Annual Cap Keith Memorial Coyote Hunt is scheduled to take place next weekend in Ekalaka.

Last year, organizers elected to lengthen the hunt from one to two days, and due to positive feedback, the contest will again span two days.

Sign-up will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on January 10 at Dawg House Pub. A rules meeting and calcutta will follow sign-up.

Check-in-time will be at 6 p.m. on January 12. After weigh-ins, prizes will be awarded and a raffle will take place. There are multiple guns and prizes up for grabs this year.

An entry fee of $120 per team will include entry into the little dog/big dog prize. In addition, a $100 prize will also be given to the team that harvests the largest female. Team size is limited to two or three persons.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the raffle will go to the Cap Keith Memorial Scholarship Fund.
