The gym was packed during both of the varsity contests against Baker. Extra seating was arranged on the stage to accommodate. Fans from both Baker and Ekalaka were expecting close, hard-fought games. Both were.

Lady Blue battled back from a 7 point halftime deficit to tie the game midway through the fourth quarter. They had a chance to tie on their final possession, but Baker's defense forced an almost impossible to make three-pointer that was well wide of the mark. The girls suffered a three point defeat. Ella Owen fouled out of the contest and Whitney Kittelmann left late in the contest with an injury.
