Around forty local fathers and daughters attended a daddy-daughter dance last Saturday at Carter County Events Center. The dance was put on by the Puptown Pioneers Homemaker Club, a volunteer organization that works to improve the quality of life for families and communities through leadership development, volunteer service and education.
Those who attended the special evening enjoyed two hours of dancing, snacks and refreshments. Girls were also able to decorate tiaras for themselves and, in some cases, for their fathers too. The dance was well received by all who attended and supported by many in the community. The club plans to make it a yearly event.
