Frank Klauzer, a 97-year-old Montana native now living in Kansas, just returned from a three day trip to Washington DC as a member of the 79th Kansas Honor Flight. Klauzer is a retired Air Force Major and was the only WWII veteran on the trip, also having served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Jim Klauzer, Frank's son, attended with him. They arrived in Washington DC and visited Fort McHenry as well as the many amazing military and national monuments. Upon return to the Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport in Wichita, the group was welcomed home by over 250 family supporters, cheerleaders, fellow military members, band members and a bagpiper.
In addition to the Honor Flight, Klauzer celebrated Veterans Day and his birthday early in November. Thank you Frank Klauzer for your service!
