Last Tuesday’s blood drive in Ekalaka yielded twenty-six units of blood. Twenty-three people attended the drive and 21 were able to donate. Of those, 8 had appointments and 15 were walk-ins. Five people donated double units as the quota for the drive was met.
David Malenovsky won the drive’s door prize.
The next Ekalaka community blood drive will take place on Wednesday, January 8 from 1:15 to 5:30 p.m. at Carter County Events Center. The drive was changed to a Wednesday date instead of a typical Tuesday date because the Events Center already had another event scheduled for January 7.
