Flu vaccine clinics November 10 and 11

Carter County Public Health and Dahl Memorial Healthcare Association will be hosting flu vaccine clinics on Sunday, November 10 and Monday, November 11. Sunday’s clinic will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the community hall in Alzada. The Monday, November 11 clinic will take place from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Dahl Memorial Clinic in Ekalaka.

The regular influenza vaccine costs $20 per vaccine. Pneumococcal vaccine will also be available. Residents who would like the cost of the vaccine billed to insurance must bring their insurance card and driver license.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommends the influenza vaccine yearly for everyone six months and older. Remember, the vaccine protects those who receive it as well as their loved ones. For questions, contact Carter County Public Health at 406-775-6332.

Dahl Memorial Clinic also has influenza vaccine available anytime during regular business hours.

The clinic is currently going through a time of transition. Carla Dowdy, PA-C is not available to take appointments at this time as she is on maternity leave. However, Dale Diede, PA-C and Alex Loudermilk, FNP-C are at the clinic and happy to see her patients while she is gone.

Furthermore, former clinic nurse Raquel Williams, RN has moved on to another position as the Carter County Public Health nurse. For now, questions about medications or medical issues should be directed to Hunter Costin or Rene Hould at the clinic.
