Carter County Chamber of Commerce members are currently planning their Second Annual FestiFall, a fun-filled family event named last year by Chamber President Eva Grimes.
FestiFall is scheduled for Saturday, October 12, coinciding with the Willa Nies Memorial Volleyball Tournament in Ekalaka.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Main Street, families will be able to enjoy a pumpkin patch sponsored by Stompin’ Grounds and other activities for children and adults put on by Dawg House Pub and Sagebrush Service Club.
The day will also provide a chance to take a few family pictures as photographer Jesse Scott will have a booth set up and will be taking photos for $10.
A chili cook-off will also take place on Main Street. Anyone may enter the cook-off and bring their best pot of homemade chili. Those entering should register with Grimes before October 12 by calling her at 406-975-6444. Blind taste-testing from a distinguished panel of judges will decide the winner. After the winner has been announced, bottomless bowls of chili will be fed to the public for $5, with proceeds benefiting the chamber.
This year Carter County Museum will be offering paleo-themed activities and face painting at Festifall in celebration of National Fossil Day.
Bring the family out to FestiFall this Saturday in Ekalaka.
