On August 5, 2019, Patty Ann Hendricks, 90, went home to Jesus. Patty was born to James and Etna (Figg) Speelmon on October 25, 1928, in Carter County, Montana. Patty attended schools in Ekalaka, Sidney, and Miles City, Montana. In 1948 she married Eugene R. Hendricks. They ranched south of Ekalaka. Gene died December 25, 1976. Patty lived on the ranch until her death.
Patty was active in the First Baptist Church and the Congregational Church (now Ekalaka Bible Church). She taught Sunday School and Good News Club, and she influenced the lives of many young people.
Patty was predeceased by her parents, her husband Gene, brothers Moreau, Wayne, Kenny, and Sandy Speelmon, and grandsons Kelsey and Klinton Hendricks. She is survived by her sister Lola Rice; her children: Jed (Hazel) Hendricks, James (Irene) Hendricks, and Kathleen (John) Marks, seven grandchildren: Sage, Kody, Kevin, Joni, and Beau Hendricks, Nicole McClure, and Amanda Marks; twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
In accordance with Patty's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
