The Redding family from rural Northwood, North Dakota will be featured at this year's Days of '85 Gospel Sing on the First Baptist Church lawn.
Paul and Amy Redding and their seven children love to sing everything from old-time gospel favorites to contemporary originals. Singing with her mother, sister and aunts, Amy Redding learned the intricacies of three and four part harmony. She passes that tradition now to her own children with original songs and standard hymns and gospel songs.
Paul Redding grew up in Dickinson, North Dakota. He spent much of his life involved in music. He taught music in public schools for seventeen years and is now in his seventh year serving as the pastor of Northwood Community Bible Church.
The Reddings, with their children, have been active in speaking and music ministry for over twenty years. They have ministered in churches, at Bible camps and at music festivals all over the Red River Valley, as well as in Montana, western North Dakota, Minnesota and South Dakota. Their blend of contemporary worship standards, originals, and old-time, four-part harmonies have been well received by audiences all over.
The concert is set to begin at 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 10. All are invited. Bring a lawn chair and/or blanket, and be prepared to be blessed through the music of this great family. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free. For more information call 406-775-6760.
