We’re full swing into summer. The pool is open and swimming lessons just wrapped up for the season. The Chamber’s 4th of July Bash on Main Street was a success as attendees had a great time playing games, dancing on Main Street and watching the awesome fireworks display.

This weekend Carter County Museum’s Dino Shindig is taking place. Saturday will be a day full of activities. There will be speakers throughout the day and activities for kids and adults including a scavenger hunt, photo booth, arts and crafts, vintage car show, silent auction and more.

Wagon Wheel Cafe is catering a barbecue lunch and there will also be shaved ice. A street dance will follow on main street, beginning at 8 p.m.

On Sunday, participants who pre-registered for the dig portion of the event will take part in the Hell Creek Field Expedition. A celebration at Medicine Rocks State Park will also take place on Sunday.

The Days of ‘85 is only a couple weeks away. All are already looking forward to the Carter County Fair, the sheepdog trials on Thursday, Saturday’s Bump-N-Run, the rodeos on Saturday and Sunday, mud volleyball on Friday at the fairgrounds, street dances on Friday and Saturday night, the parade on Sunday and a plethora of other events.
