Inaugural Beaver Creek Rendezvous Charity Shoot, July 20

This year, Beaver Creek Rendezvous organizers will be holding their first ever fun shoot. The inaugural Beaver Creek Rendezvous Charity Shoot will take place at the Livingston Ranch just north of Ekalaka, the same location where hunters meet every year, on Saturday, July 20. Anyone twelve or older is invited to participate in the competition and will have the chance to win several various prizes. Entry fees from the competition will be used to help purchase hunting licenses for hunters who want to attend rendezvous hunts in October and struggle to afford tags on their own.

Three separate competitions will take place at this event. The first competition is a standing 100 yard scoped target shoot. Participants may use any scoped rifle that is .30 caliber or smaller without the aid of a tripod or any support. Cost to enter is $40.

The second competition is a standing silhouette target shoot with a scoped .22 rim-fire rifle and also costs $40 to enter.

The third is a standing silhouette target shoot with a scoped .22 rim-fire rifle for shooters between the ages of 12 and 17. This competition costs $25 to enter.

Participants may enter multiple competitions, providing they meet the age requirements and have the appropriate rifle.

Lunch will be provided for all shooters. Participants can register online and find a map to the location as well as a full list of rules at http://www.beavercreekrendezvous.com. Registrations will be accepted until 9 a.m. on the day of the shoot. At this time, competition will begin.

AN EXCLUSIVE HUNT FOR THE DISABLED

The Beaver Creek Rendezvous is a three day hunting experience specifically designed for the disabled set in the beautiful wilderness surrounding Ekalaka. Every October, six disabled hunters and their able-bodied companions are invited to join a deer hunt. Experienced guides and other volunteers are dedicated to making possible the dream of full participation in a genuine hunt experience in the wild areas of Montana. Beaver Creek Rendezvous recognizes that many may not have thought it possible to join an able-bodied companion on a hunt, and focuses particularly on those who have not yet enjoyed this great outdoor experience.

Guides are dedicated volunteers that are highly experienced and qualified, including those who are in the medical profession during the rest of the year.
