Dahl Memorial ice bucket challenge

Dahl Memorial Healthcare employees who would like to see the new facility include a walking path around the block of the facility have taken matters into their own hands.

The safe, four-foot-wide sidewalk dubbed by employees as the "Health Walk" would ideally include benches for resting, four dog waste clean-up stations and a tiny library to trade and donate books. It would be able to accommodate wheelchairs and strollers.

The Health Walk is not included in the current building plan and would only be made possible through generous donations from the community.

As their first fundraiser for the proposed project, many employees have volunteered to participate in an ice bucket challenge.

Each of these employees has a jar with their picture and a short biography attached to it at the Dahl business office. Money donated into the jars will be tallied to determine a winner. The winner will have a bucket of ice water dumped on them for all to see during the Days of '85. Each week, volunteers will be updated to see who has raised the most.

Employees participating in the challenge are Alex Loudermilk, Dale Diede, Dayle Lovec, Libby Barth, Melissa Lovec, Michelle Mehling, Miranda Christenson, Raquel Williams, Ryan Tooke, Sue Schneider and Shannon Volmer.

For questions call Dayle Lovec at 406-775-8730.
