Celebrate Independence Day with local chamber

On Thursday, July 4 come out to Main Street in Ekalaka for Independence Day festivities starting at 4 p.m. Local businesses and organizations will host activities and booths until 8 p.m. Independence Day will be capped off by a fireworks display sponsored by the Carter County Chamber of Commerce and launched by the Ekalaka Volunteer Fire Department. There will also be a street dance on Main Street.

The Chamber of Commerce will be a holding a “Minute to Win It” contest where teams of two will compete in separate events in an effort to score the most points and be declared the winner. Spots are...
