Carter County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Community Wide Garage Sale and Swap Meet is slated for this Saturday, June 1. Warmer temperatures are in the weekend forecast so it should be a good day for shoppers to go out and find great treasures throughout town.
This year, out of town residents who have no garage or yard space and area vendors have been invited to set up at Carter County Events Center in addition to residents of Ekalaka who are planning on having sales at their residence. Anyone who would like to set up a booth can do so at the Events Center between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and can sell their new, used or handmade items for a $10 fee, payable to the chamber. Businesses and individuals who are already chamber members may do so at no cost. Wagon Wheel Café will be on-site selling food, and Jennifer Bird Canine and Equine Massage will also be there.
Anyone planning on having a booth at the Events Center can still do so by contacting Eva Grimes at (406) 975-6444.
Maps of sale sites around town will be available at the town office, Stompin’ Grounds, Community 1st Federal Credit Union and Summit National Bank.
