Explore Montana's night sky! Montana State Parks, in partnership with the Carter County Museum, will host a "Star Party" at Medicine Rocks State Park on Thursday, May 23 at 9 p.m. Join presenter Steve Hobe, Adler Planetarium facilitator, for this special event full of opportunities to observe and learn about the stars, moon, planets, and our universe.
Star Party Schedule:
9 p.m. – Making Craters! Explore how meteorites affect our planet and have shaped lunar geology.
Scopes and Skies: Look through telescopes to explore the Moon, planets and beyond
10 p.m. – Sky Watch Live! An hour-long interactive presentation of the night sky. Topics include constellation orientation and stories, planets and the zodiac, and our Moon's effect on our world.
11:30 p.m. – UV Experiments: Explore how ultraviolet light can change the way we perceive our surroundings, including fossils.
