Resurrection

Hello God, it’s me, Mara:

You know, Lord, reading 1 Corinthians 15: 13, 14, 20 (TLB) might just help us to understand that You, Lord, are the Lamb of God as it says: “For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ must still be dead. And if He is still dead, then all our preaching is useless and your trust in God is empty, worthless, hopeless… The fact is that Christ did actually rise from the dead…”

Long years ago, [date is unknown]; Billy Graham wrote an interesting thought about a faithful witness. Here is his quote: “One faithful witness is worth a thousand mute professors of religion. Tom Allan, Scotland’s famous young preacher, was brought to Christ while a black soldier was singing, “Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?” Tom said that it was neither the song nor the voice, but the spirit in which that soldier sang – it was something about his manner, something about his sincerity of expression – that convicted him of his wicked life and turned him to the Savior. Our faith grows by expression. If we want to keep our faith, we must share it – we must witness.”

One fellow asked what the most important thing in the world was, and then answered his own question by saying that IF Jesus Christ is alive then there is hope for the world. If Jesus Christ is in the grave, then there isn’t the slightest glimmer of hope on the horizon. If the disciples preached the resurrection of Christ, to change the world of their day, this should also be our message, not only on Easter but on every day of the year. Lord, let my message to others be that of the resurrection of, You, Lord Jesus and of Your ability to change the lives of those who believe in You.

Love, Mara
