April 15 through April 21 is National Volunteer Week. Volunteers within the local community play a big role by performing services, serving on boards and committees, and even acting as leaders in local youth organizations such as 4-H.
Since 1923, Carter and Fallon Counties have had 885 4-H leaders that have volunteered their time to the organization. Interestingly, current Fallon and Carter County leaders have given 7,776 hours of their time to the organization. That is roughly 144 hours per year for each leader.
Carter County 4-H ambassadors thank all of the volunteers within the community. After all, 4-H prospers in the community because of them.
