Boys pick up pair of wins

The CCHS boys basketball team picked up a pair of important wins over the weekend. On Friday, they defeated Northern Cheyenne, 69-28. Then, in Wibaux on Saturday, they won 44-39. Wibaux was seated second in the conference.

Against NCTS, four Bulldog players finished the game in double figures, led by Jared Pardee with 24. Blue also won the turnover battle, 20-26. They shot 59 percent from the charity stripe.

The JV boys also won their game in Wibaux on Saturday. The game was only two quarter long. Five Bulldogs scored en route to an 11 point win.

In the varsity contest at Wibaux, CCHS overcame a six point first quarter deficit to tie the game at 20 by halftime. Blue had a tough day at the free throw line, going 10-18, but had a solid enough defensive effort to get the win. Turner Tooke and Mick O'Connor tied for a team high 14 points.

This Friday CCHS plays in Terry. They will wrap up their regular season play on Saturday at home vs. Custer/Hysham for senior night.
