The Lady Bulldogs struggled in the first quarter in Custer against the Custer/Hysham Rebels last Thursday, escaping the frame with only a three point lead. However, a 23 point second frame helped the girls to build an insurmountable lead. They went on to win 56-30. The Dogs shot 21-43 on two-point field goals, 4-21 on threes and 2-6 from the free throw line. They totaled 17 team assists, 8 steals and only 13 turnovers. Claire Callahan led the way with 12 points and 9 rebounds.

In Melstone on Saturday, the Lady Bulldogs tried to get revenge on the Broncs who forced overtime on a last second shot and went on to beat them earlier this season. The Bulldogs were down by 10 at halftime but trimmed the deficit to four by the end of the third. They were outscored by 9 in the final quarter and went on to lose 38-51. Blue shot 43 percent on two-pointers and 24 percent on threes. However, they never got to the free throw line. They lost the turnover battle 21-15, but did out-rebound the Broncs 34-23. Heather LaBree led Blue in rebounds (7) and points (13).

In a girls JV game against Broadus on Tuesday night in Ekalaka, the Bulldogs won 55-22. Ten Bulldog players scored. Blue went only 13-33 from the charity stripe but won the turnover battle 23-43. Heidi LaBree led in points with 11.
