On Tuesday, January 8, the CCHS Drama class will present “What’s in a Name?.” This “whodunit” was written by the drama class as last quarter’s class project. Prior to writing the play, students watched “Murder on the Orient Express,” “Clue,” and “Rear Window” in order to get a feel for the murder mystery genre. Discussion regarding the character types was followed by roughing out their characters, setting, and plot before beginning any actual writing. The play is a comedy and runs roughly 40 minutes.
Originally scheduled for December, the date was changed when one of the actors had surgery. Because of the physical nature of the parts, two of the actors switched roles to prevent injury to the surgery site.
A meal is included with the show. During the first intermission, FCCLA will be serving dinner consisting of Chicken Cordon Bleu, twice-baked potatoes, and bacon green beans, with brownies for dessert and choice of tea, lemonade, and water.
Cost for dinner and the show is $15 per person. Seating begins at 5:30 p.m., and the show starts at 6 p.m. You can reserve tickets by contacting Miss Morgan at 975-6697 or emailing her at: maxinem@ekalaka.k12.mt.us
You may pay in advance or at the door.
