The CCHS Bulldogs continued their hot play by winning 12 sets in a row dating back to October 8. The closest set was in Buffalo, SD when they won 25-21. The team has tallied at least 30 kills in each of those last 4 matches and has had an impressive total number of digs (166). Many of those digs came in Buffalo when the team had 65, led by Kari Kittelmann with 13.
On October 8 in Buffalo, CCHS won 25-13, 25-18, and 25-21. Tori Tooke led the team in aces (3 of 4), kills (14 of 47) and assists (21 of 34). Claire Callahan had all four of the team’s blocks.
On October 12 at Terry, Blue won 25-10, 25-7, and 25-10. Hannah LaBree had 11 of the team’s 24 aces. Callahan had 8 of 30 kills and Whitney Kittelmann had half of the team’s 22 assists. Gracie Tooke had the only block for CCHS and tied with Heather LaBree for the lead in digs with 6.
The next day, the girls traveled to Jordan and won 25-10, 25-15, and 25-20. Tori Tooke and Callahan shared a team high in aces with 4. Heather LaBree had 9 of 33 digs. Tori Tooke also led in assists with 16 out of 27. Callahan had 13 of 35 kills and all four of Blue’s blocks.
On Monday CCHS played against a Miles City JV team in Miles City. They won 25-16, 25-19, and 25-11. Whitney Kittelmann led the way with a team high in assists (10) and digs (9). Callahan again led in kills with 15 of 32. Hannah LaBree, Heather LaBree and Tori Tooke each had two aces.
This weekend the girls will finish up regular season play with home matches against Circle on Friday and Wibaux on Saturday. Both games will play a large factor in determining District 2C final standings and tournament pairings.
