Carter County Chamber of Commerce is currently planning Festi-Fall, a fun-filled family event properly named by Vice President Eva Grimes.
Festi-Fall is scheduled for Saturday, October 6, coinciding with the Willa Nies Memorial Volleyball Tournament in Ekalaka.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Main Street, families will be able to enjoy a pumpkin patch, photo booth, bowling and other games. Hot cider and hot chocolate will be available.
There will also be a two-person relay race at 11:30 a.m. To enter the relay, contestants should register by calling Grimes at 406-975-6444 before October 4. Singles may also sign-up for the relay as they will be paired with a partner prior to start.
A chili cook-off will be judged following the relay. Anyone may enter the cook-off and bring their best pot of homemade chili. Again, those entering should register with Grimes before October 4. Blind taste-testing from a distinguished panel of judges will decide the winner. After the winner has been announced, bottomless bowls of chili will be fed to the public for $5, with proceeds benefiting the chamber.
Bring the family out to Festi-Fall this October in Ekalaka.
