County struggles to fill congregate meal position

The local Senior Citizens Center could be in danger of closing according to Carter County Senior Citizens Coordinator Karen Carroll.

Why? It isn't feasible to continue to rent the building if congregate meals are no longer served.

The county recently opened bidding for congregate meals. The bids were scheduled to be opened on April 27, but there weren't any.
