CCHS Close Up students hold community talent show, raise enough funds for trip

Last Thursday, CCHS Close Up held a community talent show, the last fund-raiser needed for their upcoming trip to Washington D.C. this summer. A free-will donation soup and sandwich dinner featuring Tricia Lovec's famous cheesy potato soup was served.

After dinner, attendees enjoyed a talent show with around ten acts. The acts included magic tricks, singing, dancing, ukulele playing, and three, short drama productions.

Local judges Deb Yost, Dennis Bishop, and Amanda Coleman selected first, second, and third place acts who received cash prizes.

First place went to Brennen Bonsell and Jaden Pardee for their drama performance of "The Teacher." Second went to Libby Barth who sang "The more boys I meet," recorded by Carrie Underwood. Third place went to Joe McHenry and Mariah Perkins for their performance of "The Job."
