CCHS Girls Basketball won three games last week and are currently in first place in the district.
On Tuesday, the girls played Custer/Hysham at home, a game that was postponed earlier in the season. The girls had no problem as they took a 14 point lead in the first quarter while holding the Rebels scoreless. They eventually won, 54-14. CCHS shot 5-7 on free throws, 52% on two-point field goals, and 31% from downtown. Claire Callahan led the team in points (11) and rebounds (5).

The girls traveled to Northern Cheyenne on Friday for a tough game against the one-loss Eagles. CCHS had a big second quarter and took an eight point lead at halftime. The Eagles erased that lead in the third quarter, and the game was close until the end. The Bulldogs won in then end, 53-49. Both teams shot very similar percentages for the game. Northern Cheyenne narrowly won the turnover battle, 33-30. Heather LaBree led the way for the Bulldogs with 16 points and 7 rebounds.

Lady Blue faced another tough battle the very next night against Wibaux. Both teams had two conference losses heading into the night. Wibaux has one more now.
After a narrow deficit at the end of the first quarter, the Dogs buckled down. They did lose the turnover battle 13-22, but outscored Wibaux by four, two, and five in the final three quarters of play anyway. Again, Claire Callahan led CCHS in points (22) and rebounds (8). Heather LaBree and Whitney Kittelmann each hit a pair of three-pointers in the contest.
