DOR office to close

Carter County Commissioners recently received word that the Montana Department of Revenue (DOR) will be closing their office located inside Carter County Courthouse.

A letter from the DOR to the commissioners received at the end of January states: “The Department is facing significant budget reductions in the current biennium, which necessitates our reducing and relocating staff.”

Current DOR staff will be leaving the office inside Carter County Courthouse on or before February 15, 2018.

Similar changes in other counties around the state are expected to take place in the near future....
