Girls topple Baker
Last Friday night in Baker, the Lady Bulldogs made it five wins in a row, defeating a Spartan team by 30 points. A month ago at home, the girls beat Baker by seven.
It was a torrid start by the Bulldogs that did their Class B rivals in. In the first quarter, the Dogs scored twenty-two points. Even more impressively, they held Baker to zero.
Blue went 7-11 from the charity stripe. They shot a scorching 61% on two-point field goals, and managed nearly 31% on three's. Scoring was also balanced as all five starters finished the game in double digits.
CCHS also out-rebounded Baker 22-16. Claire Callahan led the team in rebounds with seven, three of which were on the offensive end. The turnover battle was close, but was won by CCHS 26-20.
This Thursday, the girls the girls will take on Melstone at home. Melstone beat CCHS by four earlier this season. They also play at home on Friday versus Custer/Hysham. The girls record on the season is currently 6-3.

CCHS boys
Bulldog men lost a close contest in Baker on Friday, 36-39. Stats were not available. Near the midway point of their season, the boys are 2-7, with wins over Fromberg and Broadus.
This Thursday the boys will take on Melstone. The Broncs are 9-0 this season and are currently ranked third in the state. On Friday, they will take on two-win Custer/Hysham.
