Dogs fall to Stangs

On Friday November 17, the Ekalaka junior high boys basketball team traveled to Miles City to play at Sacred Heart in a tournament. The boys competed against the Jordan Mustangs in their only game.

In the first quarter, Ekalaka struggled to get any offense going. Their only field goal was a two-pointer from Jaden Pardee. Brennen Bonsell made one free throw as well, but Ekalaka fell behind early, 3-10. In the second quarter the Bulldogs managed only five points while Jordan put up 11. At halftime, the Bulldogs were down 8-21.

In the third quarter Jordan stretched their lead to 18 points, but Blue wouldn’t go down without a fight. The boys showed a lot of heart and rallied in the fourth quarter. They trimmed the lead to only nine by the games end, eventually losing 31-40.
