On Saturday, October 28, Puptown Pioneers will be hosting the Fallon/Carter County Fall homemaker council meeting. The meeting is set to begin at 9:30 a.m., with registration at Carter County Events Center.
Throughout the day those who attend will take part in the business meeting, hear club reports, play trivia, eat lunch, and hear an educational program. Additionally, attendees will be able to purchase raffle tickets for gift baskets and partake in other fun activities. Some items in the gift baskets include: kitchen items, spa gift cards, gardening items, sewing items, beauty products, canning supplies, and even photography gift cards.
The educational program beginning at 1:00 p.m. will be presented by Marsha A. Goetting, MSU Extension Family Economics Specialist. Goetting’s presentation, titled “Montana Tax Savings Harvest,” will touch on tax saving opportunities such as medical care savings accounts, first time home buyers accounts, endowment tax credits, and more.
This event is free and open to the public. However, there is an $8.00 fee for anyone who has lunch and organizers encourage attendees to bring extra cash for the raffle.
