Ekalaka Public Schools will hold child developmental screening on Tuesday, October 24 from 12:30 to 2:15 p.m. at Ekalaka Elementary School.
The screening will be for children aged 0-5 who are not currently in kindergarten. Children whose parents have concerns about their development as well as children who completed the screening last year and were flagged for re-screening should attend.
Children with an IEP and children who were screened last year and were not flagged for re-screening do not need to attend.
Children between the ages of three and five will be screened in the following areas: concepts/thinking skills, motor skills, speech/language development, vision, and hearing.
Youngsters under three years of age will be screened by DEAP staff using the DENVER, as well as for hearing.
