Bulldog volleyball traveled to Broadus to take on the Hawks last Friday. In the junior varsity match, CCHS dropped the first set 17-25. The set was close until Karli Collins of Broadus went on a scoring streak.
In the second set, Blue was outmatched, losing 11-25. The third set was a close one, but the girls lost 12-15.
In varsity action, CCHS held of Broadus 25-21 in the first set, and 25-22 in the second. The Bulldogs easily won the game in the third set, 25-14. Throughout the match, CCHS had 11 aces, led by Tori Tooke who had 5. She also led the team with 8 assists. Claire Callahan led the team in kills; she had 10 out of 20 total. Callahan and Heather LaBree had two blocks each for the match. Kennedy Tooke had 3 of the team’s 9 digs.
CCHS volleyball will play this Thursday at home versus Wibaux and will then travel to Wibaux for a tournament on Satu
