Tarno benefit, Sat, June 17 in Alzada

Another local is battling cancer. Kodi Tarno, daughter of Doug and Tracy Hendrickson of Alzada, was diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer this year. Tarno is 26 years old, went to school in Alzada, and graduated from high school in Hulett, WY.

Growing up she filled her summer days helping neighbors during docking and anything else that kept her busy and allowed her to enjoy the outdoors. You might have met her when she worked at B&J’s Convenience Store. She is now employed in Sundance, WY. Tarno’s treatments take her to Rapid City, SD and Rochester, MN.

A benefit has been planned in order to raise money to help with medical expenses.

There will be a live auction on June 17 at the Alzada Community Hall. The evening will start at 4:00 p.m. with a potluck supper. Barbecue pork sandwiches will be provided.

The auction will start at 5:00 p.m. Items can be viewed on the Facebook event page; https://www.facebook.com/events/626404860891347.

Anyone who would like to donate is asked to please contact Shyan Croft, Miranda Hendrickson, or leave a message at B&J’s. Anything, including prayers, would be greatly appreciated.

Attend, enjoy the evening, and help give cancer the boot one more time!
