Free "Grab and Go" bags for seniors, April 27

Karen O’Dell, Senior Companion Director at Action for Eastern Montana, will be at the Senior Center in Ekalaka on April 27 from 11:30 to 1:00 giving “Grab and Go” bags to seniors.

These bags are funded through a grant from the governor’s office of community and service. Each bag contains a blanket, flashlight & batteries, radio & batteries, and a first aid kit. They will be given for free to seniors who are at the center.

Action for Eastern Montana has been handing out these bags in various locations over the last three years. This year’s recipients are located in Baker, Ekalaka, Scobey, and Culbertson.

In addition, Local DES Coordinator Georgia Bruski will also be at the senior center on April 27 to speak about what to do in case of a disaster in Carter County.
