    The Bulldogs didn't play their best football last Saturday, but it was still good enough for them to get the win over Circle and secure a spot in the Montana 8-man playoffs. In the first quarter, the Dogs moved the ball okay on offense, despite several missed blocking assignments. Twice they fumbled the football while deep in Wildcat territory.     Last Friday CCHS Volleyball played Wibaux at home for senior night. The Bulldogs had a large lead early on in the first set but Wibaux stormed back.     Carter County High outscored St. Labre 38-0 in the first half and went on to win 38-16 at home last Friday night in Ekalaka. The win improved the Bulldogs record to 4-1 in their conference and 5-2 overall. The two senior men who play for CCHS helped give the Dogs their large, early lead and then cheered on their younger teammates from the sideline for most of the second half.     The CCHS Lady Bulldogs had a busy few days, playing in the Willa Nies Memorial Tournament on Saturday and in non-conference games against Buffalo, South Dakota on Monday.     Last Friday at home the CCHS varsity volleyball team defeated Broadus in three straight sets. The Dogs won the first set, 25 -19, the second 25-20 and the third 25-17.     The Carter County Bulldogs lost a tough conference football game in Scobey last Saturday. Blue received the opening kickoff. On their second play from scrimmage, junior back Seth Kennedy was injured. The Bulldogs were already down one back going into the contest and Kennedy's injury kept him from returning.     CCHS played in cool, wet conditions against the Panthers in Park City on Friday night. The Bulldogs received the opening kickoff and scored on their third play from scrimmage.     On June 22, forty-five guests spent a fun-filled day outdoors at Springhill Ranch near Wibaux at the inaugural BBs & Bows in the Badlands event for youths and their families.
