It had been a long road for CCHS Football since they last made the playoffs. That year was 2009; it also happened to be the last time the Bulldogs played 8-Man football. In 2009 a formidable team led by a salty group of seniors traveled to Hays-Lodgepole for their regular season finale and won. The following week they fell to Twin Bridges in the first round of the 8-Man playoffs. From 2010 to 2018 the Dogs had their fair share of struggles while playing 6-Man football. 2014...

The Bulldogs didn't play their best football last Saturday, but it was still good enough for them to get the win over Circle and secure a spot in the Montana 8-man playoffs. In the first quarter, the Dogs moved the ball okay on offense, despite several missed blocking assignments. Twice they fumbled the football while deep in Wildcat territory. They also were forced to punt on one possession. Circle, meanwhile, had their own problems on offense. Bulldog junior Ryan Rychner...

Carter County High outscored St. Labre 38-0 in the first half and went on to win 38-16 at home last Friday night in Ekalaka. The win improved the Bulldogs record to 4-1 in their conference and 5-2 overall. The two senior men who play for CCHS helped give the Dogs their large, early lead and then cheered on their younger teammates from the sideline for most of the second half. The game was senior night for the two, and they will likely remember it as not only did the Dogs get t...

The Carter County Bulldogs lost a tough conference football game in Scobey last Saturday. Blue received the opening kickoff. On their second play from scrimmage, junior back Seth Kennedy was injured. The Bulldogs were already down one back going into the contest and Kennedy's injury kept him from returning. With few options, coach Tenadore Kittelmann made the decision to move junior guard Jared Pardee into the backfield. Brennan Bonsell replaced Pardee on the offensive line....
CCHS played in cool, wet conditions against the Panthers in Park City on Friday night. The Bulldogs received the opening kickoff and scored on their third play from scrimmage. Kennedy ran in the conversion to...
CCHS took care of business against conference opponent Culbertson last Friday night at Rowley Field. Again, Blue's ability to run the ball offensively and stop the run defensively were paramount to victory. On their first possession, CCHS drove the length of the field, eventually scoring on a seven yard run from Turner Tooke. A completed pass from Tooke to Mick O'Connor on the conversion gave Blue an early 8-0 lead. Later in the first quarter, Tooke scored again, this time...

The Bulldogs' return to eight-man football started with a win in Forsyth last Friday. There are sixteen players on the team this year, but only 13 were suited up for the contest.
