Carter County High School defeated Broadus by twenty-six points in their final game of the football season on Saturday. The game took place in Broadus and featured the fourth place team from each of the Montana 8-Man Eastern Conference's sub-divisions. The CCHS Bulldogs started strong versus their conference opponent from Culbertson last Friday night at Rowley Field. The Bulldogs traveled to Forsyth last Friday night and got a much needed win over the 1-5 Dogies. The Bulldogs led for most of the game. Most of Forsyth's scoring came on large chunk plays, both on the ground and through the air. The Dogs, though, were able to rip off a few big scoring plays of their own. The Bulldogs' record dropped to 1-4 on the season when they fell to the Spartans on Friday night in Scobey. It was the Spartan running attack that really did damage early on as the Bulldogs found themselves down 22-0 late in the second quarter. CCHS defeated Plevna in three straight sets to win their homecoming volleyball match last Saturday in Ekalaka. The Lady Bulldogs won 25-11, 25-14 and 25-12. During homecoming week each year, CCHS men play a volleyball match against each other and CCHS women play a powderpuff football game. The tradition started back in 2005 and has continued since. The 8-Man Bob Cleverley Class C All-Star football game took place on June 5 in Butte. One Carter County High School player, Jared Pardee, represented the Bulldogs in Butte alongside Head Coach Tenadore Kittelmann. Three CCHS athletes competed at the MHSA Class C State Track and Field Meet in Missoula over the weekend. Freshman Ethan Frye competed on the men's side. Fellow freshman Brynn Loehding competed on the women's side, as did sophomore Katie Tooke. Frye ran a 19.47 in the 110 meter hurdle prelims, missing out on the finals.
