Carter County Museum recently introduced Chloe Chambers as Museum Educator for the summer of 2022. Chambers came from Georgia where she is a high school science teacher. Countywide voter turnout for the primary election on Tuesday was nearly sixty-three percent, down from 73 percent in 2020. In total, 579 ballots were cast from the county's 922 registered voters. Bella Rae Jensen of Ekalaka was crowned Miss Southeast Montana Rodeo 2022 at this year's Miles City Bucking Horse Sale on May 21st in Miles City. Jensen will be a freshman at Carter County High School in the fall. She plays volleyball, basketball and rodeos. After electing not to produce a calendar featuring local photographs taken by local photographers last year, the Carter County Chamber of Commerce voted to print the community calendar again for 2023, due in part to high demand. The chamber plans to print the calendar early this year to catch Labor Day visitors and early hunters.
