Ekalaka Public Schools is hosting a kindergarten roundup on Tuesday, April 16 for any student expecting to attend kindergarten in the fall of 2024. Please bring your future kindergartener to the main office at 8 a.m. along with the child’s birth certificate and immunization records. A new Montana State University Extension office will open in Carter County on March 18. Fallon and Carter Counties are currently served by one Extension office located in Baker. The new office will result in an additional Extension agent serving the region, according to Larry Brence, MSU Extension eastern region department head.
