    On May 3, CCHS graduate and current Ekalaka School District music teacher Whitney Hamblin received her doctorate degree from Indiana University. Her parents, Jack and Celinda accompanied her to Bloomington, Indiana and attended the impressive commencement exercises where she was given her "Doctor of Music" degree from the Jacobs School of Music.     In an effort to recruit more bus route drivers at Ekalaka Public Schools, the unified board of trustees recently voted to substantially increase driver pay. The previous route pay for Class E drivers (driving school SUVs) was $16.16 per hour. The board recently approved increasing that wage to $20.25 per hour.     Votes were tallied Tuesday night for both the Ekalaka Elementary School District No. 15 and Carter County High School mail ballot elections. Unofficial results show that Samantha Wright, incumbent, and David Loudermilk have both been elected to three-year terms on the unified board of trustees.     The Carter County FFA chapter traveled to Billings April 2nd-6th to compete in various career development events and leadership development events over the course of the week. The teams did very well while competing.
